Jess Fügler is an American designer whose work explores ideas of narrative, process, and value in domestic objects. Inspired by past and current cultures along with industrial production and handcraft, Jess' work possesses a poetic playfulness driven by a hands-on approach to materials and making.
Jess lives and works in New York where she runs her own studio practice developing furniture, lighting, and homegoods. She is the Co-Founder of Other Kingdom and teaches at Parsons School of Design. Alongside her own practice, Jess has worked for others in the design industry, notably as a Senior Product Developer for HAY and as the Design Director for Matter Made.
Internationally trained, Jess holds a Master’s degree in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York alongside additional studies in the Gestaltung program at Bauhaus Universität in Weimar, Germany.
